Webinar: From Mutual Aid to Solidarity Economy

June 24, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

On Zoom (register here). Session 1 in a new series. In Buffalo and around the country, communities have come together to take care of each other during the COVID-19 crisis. Mutual Aid efforts, built on the premise of “solidarity, not charity”, have connected community members to the resources that they need. But Mutual Aid can’t, on its own, solve the systemic issues of our economy.

Returning our economy to “normal”, which has been run on exploitation, racism, and oppression, is not an option. How do we transition from Mutual Aid to a Solidarity Economy that prioritizes cooperation, equity, health, and sustainability?

Join Cooperation Buffalo, PUSH Buffalo and Preservation Buffalo Niagara in a collaborative webinar about how we can emerge from this crisis with the institutions and movements we need to build the world we want.
